Oh, God.<\/p>\n

It’s beginning.<\/p>\n

The improvement people are coming for me…and fast.<\/p>\n

The clock is ticking into 2015 and it is time to start improving<\/em>. And now, goddammit.<\/p>\n

Get your lists.<\/p>\n

Get your workouts ready.<\/p>\n

What are your positive goals?<\/p>\n

How are you going to change?<\/p>\n

How are you going to markedly improve yourself?<\/p>\n

Your body?<\/p>\n

Your family?<\/p>\n

Your kids?<\/p>\n

Your dog?<\/p>\n

Don’t you dare allow 2015 to come in the door remaining as you are.<\/em><\/p>\n

For shame.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am calling bullshit.<\/p>\n

ENOUGH.<\/p>\n

You are going to wake up January 1st the same beautiful hot-mess you were December 31st.<\/p>\n

You are.<\/p>\n

You may have some big notions, big plans, big goals….sure.<\/p>\n

But the reality? Everything will be the same. <\/em><\/p>\n

Maybe with a slight hangover.<\/p>\n

Let’s stop hanging our hope-hats on the changing of years, shall we?\"IMG_7968\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As I walked the dog today, I started to feel some of the typical worrying I experience as the year draws to an end.<\/p>\n

“What should I do about the business this year? I know my numbers…but should I go harder? Bigger? Smaller? Stay the same?”<\/p>\n

I shuffled along and stared at the birds in the sky.<\/p>\n

They were headed…well, I don’t know where the hell they were going. But they *knew.* Thousands and thousands of years…they get up and fly. They follow each other, form a V and go. They aren’t worried about going bigger or smaller. Just trying to get from A to B, you know?<\/p>\n

I shrugged.<\/p>\n

I decided to not decide.<\/p>\n

I am going to feel it out.<\/p>\n

Do what feels right. Pay the bills. Help some parents.<\/p>\n

I am not making any lists or goals that will mock me, guilt me, worry me. Have me fail or overshoot my own arbitrary yardstick.<\/p>\n

Like those birds, I *know* what I am doing. I know.<\/p>\n
