Oooooh, this<\/a> is so hard.<\/h2>\n

One of the constant mantras in my Neufeld Institute<\/a> studies is, “connection only for the sake of connection.”<\/h2>\n

There is no condition. Your love and affection is offered freely and never withdrawn.<\/h2>\n

This is awesome when I read it. It is useful when I am rested and feeling stress-free. And the house is clean. And the food is made. And the laundry is folded.<\/h2>\n

You see how hard it is? Unconditional love and true compassion is the work of my life!<\/h2>\n

AND, the truth is, I’ve gotten much, much better at it.<\/h2>\n

How? Practice.<\/h2>\n

Every day. Every moment. And when I have no compassion, I practice “Do no harm.”<\/h2>\n

I try to get away from the people to save them from me. And THIS is hard, too!<\/h2>\n

So, since this is such a fallen world and we are such a fallen people, go ahead and commit to the practice of unconditional love.<\/h2>\n

There is no finish line or outcome.<\/h2>\n

There is no acceptance letter or accolades.<\/h2>\n

No one will celebrate you or even notice.<\/h2>\n

But not hurting others (our kids) is so amazingly brave and tough…you will leave a legacy for generations to come.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
